About the reports
What is in each report?
Quarterly trends since 2019 in student-labelled Companies House charges (new, satisfied and the live book by age), the types of lender taking security, median sale prices in student postcodes since 2020, the PBSA planning pipeline and the investment market, with every source named.
How often are the reports published?
Every half year. Each edition keeps its own address, so earlier editions stay available for comparison.
Are there city reports?
Yes. City and borough reports from the same data are published on our sister site, Student Accommodation Finance. Our city pages cover how lenders view each city.
Do the reports name lenders or borrowers?
No. Lending is shown by type of lender only.
Can I rely on these figures for a valuation?
No. They are market commentary built from public data, not a valuation, investment recommendation or offer of finance. A lender relies on its own valuer.
Market commentary, not a valuation, investment recommendation or offer of finance. Public figures are attributed to their publishers.
